WELCOME!- As you may be a new visitor or someone looking for a church family, we've listed some information that we hope you'll find helpful.....
Templeton Presbyterian is a church family where people find a comfortable place to belong, a compelling environment to explore their faith in Christ, and a compassionate spirit to reach out to the needs of others. We invite you to join us!

Are children welcome?
Yes they are! Kids have a great time at Faith Factory, which is held at the same time as our Sunday service. Children leave during the beginning of the service and head next door with their leaders. We also have a nursery for infants and toddlers. Children may also remain with you during the service. There are activity bags with child friendly contents available in the church entry.

Is it okay if I’m not familiar with the Presbyterian service?
Don’t worry. The things that we do regularly are easily learned. The program that we hand out at the beginning of each service provides a nice outline. Remember everyone was new at one time!

Why do most people exit out the “other” door when leaving the sanctuary?
You might notice that most of our congregation arrives through the front door yet exits through the back door. Why? One word: cookies. Well, not entirely. After each service we invite everyone into our adjacent Fellowship Hall. It’s a great opportunity to mingle and get acquainted—and to enjoy treats and coffee too!

Is the worship music like this every week?
The music changes. Our worship band takes one Sunday off per month, at which time we have special music led by piano or organ. We also incorporate a mix of music styles and tempos to ensure a diverse musical experience.

Do you offer communion, and if so, how do you practice it?
Yes, we offer communion on the first Sunday of every month. We practice “open communion,” which is also known as an “open table.” This means that we welcome anyone who trusts in Christ as Lord and Savior, regardless of church affiliation or experience.

Does the church have a dress code?
No. Look around and you will see a wide variety of attire. In general, we are more casual than formal, but also respectful. Our position is: Wear the clothes that help you to feel most comfortable and free to worship God.

What does this church believe?
The core of our belief is that God created us in love, and when things went wrong with the human race, God came down to be with us in person as Jesus Christ, who lived and died and rose from the dead in order to fix what went wrong—to forgive us of all that separates us from God and restore a loving, right relationship with him. If we believe this, and receive Christ into our lives, we become friends of God and are promised an eternal relationship with him that even death cannot take away.
